Bob’s Red Mill Golden Cornbread



1 C Medium grind cornmeal
1 C whole wheat pastry flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar (optional)
1 egg
1 C milk
1/4 C butter


– Sift together dry ingredients into a bowl.
– Add egg, milk, and butter. Beat until smooth, about one minute. Do not overbeat.
– Preheat oven to 425.
– Bake in a greased 8″ square pan for 20-25 minutes.
