We believe that it is important for everyone to get their hands dirty in the fields every once in a while. It keeps us all humble and understanding of where our food comes from. Some prefer to view it as a little fun in the sun.
Last year for the first time we offered pick your own pumpkins along with hay rides in the fall. We plan on continuing this again this fall. In future years we hope to have many different fruits to add to the pick your own season. Things take time in agriculture. Thanks for understanding that fruit trees and berry bushes take time to grow.
This year we do plan on offering some pick your own opportunities for Dracut CSA shareholders only when they come to the farm on Tuesdays to pick up their share boxes. This will begin later in the summer and may include: strawberries, squash, beans, and pumpkins. In future years we hope to expand the pick your own options for shareholders.
