This was the gazpacho that was served at Garlic Day on August 2nd, 2014.  It was adapted from Alton Brown’s Gazpacho recipe. Mildy-Hot Homemade Salsa Ingredients 3 medium jalapeno peppers 3 small habanero peppers 4 large tomatoes 2 pickling cucumbers 1 large red bell pepper 1 large yellow bell pepper 1 medium red onion 3 cloves sliced fresh garlic 1 fresh lime Cilantro Olive Oil Salt and Pepper Directions Hand cut and dice peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions into 1/4″ pieces. Thinly slice garlic cloves, chop cilantro, and combine in a large bowl. Add zest of lime and lime juice. Add olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste. Refrigerate over night covered.

Ingredients: 1 bunch kale 1 bunch beet leaves (collards, mustard, turnip) or 1 bunch other greens (collards, mustard, turnip) 1 large onion, sliced 1 tablespoon olive oil 2 garlic cloves, minced 2 jalapeno peppers, minced (discard seeds for less heat) 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1/4 cup cubed ham (I used prepackage mini cubes) 3 slices bacon 2 1/2 cups water (more if needed) salt and pepper balsamic vinegar (optional) Directions: 1 Tear greens into large pieces and discard the thick vein.
